NAP – Best selection of the day
York 3.00 Logician (5/4)
Frankel colt who has looked hugely exciting in three runs to date, winning all of them; steps up to Group company for the first time but worth his shot and likely to take all the beating under Dettori.
York kicks off on Wednesday and I know it’s not a very original NAP given the likely short odds but I really can’t see past LOGICIAN here. He has looked hugely exciting winning all three starts to date and should take this step up in class in his stride. He has a potent turn of foot and should have too much for these. Constantinople has been so frustrating and although the drop back in trip and the weight swing with Nayef Road is in his favour he isn’t one for maximum trust let alone bumping into a prospect as good as the selection. Fingers crossed we can get York off to a winning start for the NAP it looks a mouthwatering week ahead.
NB – Second best selection of the day
Bath 4.05 Road To Paris (6/5)
Won well at Yarmouth which has been well advertised since; still looked a bit green when running around at Nottingham last time and should win this with the cheekpieces reached for now.
Even in defeat ROAD TO PARIS ran a big race last time and off the same mark here he should take a lot of beating. He is still learning on the job and with further improvement to come with the cheekpieces to straighten him up I think he looks a great bet to get back in the winners enclosure. Tavus put in a career best last time but he’ll likely need another one here and might just be bumping into one. I can see him running well without quite being good enough.
Daily Double
The Daily Double landed at 13/2 on Sunday and has proved extremely profitable to follow so far in August so you won’t want to miss this as we look to fire in another winner! It’s a great way of covering both the NAP and NB to maximise profits.
