Monday Night Football Bets

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL KICKS-OFF AT 1.20AM (Tuesday UK time)

Game Spread – Baltimore Ravens -3.5 | Game Total – 47 points

Monday Night Football has the 8-2 Baltimore Ravens heading to LA to face the 6-4 Rams. It is a big test for the reigning NFC Champions and it should be a cracking game.
Key Stats
  • Won 6 games in-a-row – The Ravens have won’t their last 6 games including wins against the Seahawks, Patriots and last weeks 41-7 blowout against the Texans.
  • Under the total in 5/6 against NFC – the total has gone under in 5 off the last 6 games Baltimore have played in the NFC.
  •
Under in 5/6 games this season – 5 of the last 6 Rams games have gone under the total, this is very much due to the defence stepping up to keep them in games.

Can the Rams slow down the Lamar Jackson led offence?

Baltimore have the number 1 rushing offence in the league with quarterback Lamar Jackson taking off out of the pocket plenty in tandem with Mark Ingram it has been ultra effective. If the Rams are to have a chance in this they will have to make Jackson throw the ball as they are only ranked 20th passing it.

The Rams will be able to slow the Ravens down with their defence ranked 5th against the rush however Baltimore have drawn up plenty of plays to tight ends to aid the passing game and it will be tough on the Rams defence.

Will the Rams be able to keep up with Baltimore?

For the Rams to win Jared Goff well need to have a big game thought the air as the the run game just isn’t cutting it with Gurley averaging just 3.55 yards per carry last week. With Woods and Cook likely to be returning they have plenty of options and Cooper Kupp could have a decent day.

The worry is they only put up 29 points over 2 games against Pittsburgh and the Bears and you would think they would need 20+ in this to compete.

Monday night football verdict and bet

It is hard to see how the Rams will fully stop the Baltimore offence and it is hard to rely on the Rams to keep up in the scoring, so I will be taking the Rams in this one.

With the run game fairly key for both sides I will take under the 47 points as the clock should get run down fairly quickly. This should be a nice double to follow-up the Thursday Night Football double win.
