Excellent novice chase campaign last term winning three times and made no mistake on return beating Politologue at Cheltenham, showing a good attitude to go past up the hill; scope to improve further and this stiff finish ideal; 1-1 at this track.
We were with DEFI DU SEUIL at Cheltenham and he certainly delivered, picking up well between horses to assert away from the last. Politologue was giving him 3lb that day so is entitled to go well again but Philip Hobbs 6yo is likely to improve for that and this track suits him well. He is a winning machine and should justify his short price-tag. Un De Sceaux isn’t getting any younger but goes well here as seen when chasing home Altior last season so is respected and at a bigger price Sceau Royal should run his race as has gone well fresh in the past.

Wolverhampton 6.20 Raaeb (15/8)
Raven’s Pass colt who has won two of his three starts to date; made every yard a winning one at Kempton last time, staying on to win comfortably at the line; tons of potential as a sprinter and expected to go in again despite the competitiveness of the race.
Hopefully we’ll be heading into Saturday evening with a winning NAP in the bank so we’ll be needing RAAEB to bring home the Daily Double. He looks a colt with plenty of talent and should prove the answer here. He looked a smart prospect making all at Kempton last time and with more to come should have too much for these rivals. Everything went right for Auchterarder last time but she showed serious speed so is respected. The bigger danger looks likely to come from Dancin Inthestreet, who is open to further progress too.
