Frankel filly who has plenty of ability; been running well in defeat this term, not beaten far by Pablo Escobarr in a Listed race at Kempton most recently; will find this easier back in handicap company now and makes plenty of appeal off a mark of 94.
This looks a good opportunity for HULCOTE to get back in the winners enclosure for Clive Cox! She has been running well this term finishing second on reappearance before finishing midfield in a good race behind Scentasia at Lingfield and again not beaten far at Kempton. Back into handicap company now she will find this more manageable and it would be no surprise to see her go close at a decent price. When I first looked at the race Entangling was the one I feared so it’s no surprise to see him installed as the favourite. Fingers crossed for a big run from the Longshot!

Newcastle 1.40 Glittering Love (7/2)
Unbeaten over fences winning 4-4 last term; impressed with how much he finds for pressure and with a summer on his back could easily be capable of more this season; back to 2m4f on return no bad thing and looks a leading player.
I think it’s safe to say GLITTERING LOVE was progressive over fences last season. He showed little over hurdles but seemed rejuvenated by the switch to chasing and has a real likeable way of going through his races. He seemed to have plenty in reserve to keep the unbeaten record intact and with the promise of even more to come now he is a good bet to come out on top and land the five-timer. Fitness is taken on trust but the market is certainly speaking in his favour which is always good to see when a horse is returning from a layoff.

We’ve combined both the Longshot and Steamer to make an Each Way Double on Saturday. It pays a HUGE 31/1 and looks worth covering this afternoon.
