Ran on well to win impressively on handicap debut at Bangor up to just shy of three miles 11 months ago; excuses when sent off fav at Market Rasen next start but back on track at Catterick; not in the same form final start and sent chasing when needing the run on return; should be a lot sharper now and has potential as a stayer.
The money just keeps on coming for today’s Longshot! Caught my eye but by the time tips went up he was into 6/1! IWILLDOIT is the selection for Sam Thomas. He should strip all the better for that reappearance run at Newbury behind Champers On Ice and the experience won’t have been lost on him. He has always appealed as the type to do better as a chaser so I’m expecting a big run here. Probably at the main expense of Cuban Pete, who won at Hereford on return and ran well behind a smart horse in Clondaw Anchor at Lingfield. He should have more to offer.

Strong looker who won a bumper at Kilbeggan; all the better for the experience when down the field at Naas to win over hurdles at Punchestown last time, brushing aside 21 rivals; improving all the time now and looks a good bet to follow up.
With the money down CAVALRY MASTER looks the one to be on here for Gordon Elliott. He has looked hugely promising so far and should improve again to take this. It’s competitive obviously but the selection looks to have an exciting future and makes plenty of appeal up in trip for handicap debut. He has scope to keep progressing and looks one to keep on the right side of not just today. Envious Editor is a danger having shaped well when fourth at Navan 22 days ago. He needs to come on again, like plenty of these, but should do as long as this doesn’t come too soon. Drop The Anchor is another to note having won well last time. An 8lb rise looks manageable.
