Longshot

Plumpton 1.40 Moroder (5/1)

Won a bumper at Uttoxeter, showing a good attitude under pressure and a lot to like about the way he stuck to the task behind a nice horse at Exeter on debut over hurdles; should improve for that initial effort and looks a big player here at a nice price.

We head to Plumpton on Sunday for the Longshot and MORODER looks overpriced to me. He ran a cracker on hurdles debut finishing third to the useful looking Eclair Surf and with further improvement should definitely get involved here. At 5/1 you can afford to back him each way as I can’t see him out the frame at the very least. Cat Tiger is a worthy fav and should go well while Fraternel is also a player having ran well in France.

Steamer

Plumpton 3.10 Ruby Yeats (6/1)

Still in contention when unseating rider four out in 3 mile handicap at Lingfield when last seen and could figure here just a 1lb higher; should get a good toe into the race and the market is certainly suggesting she will get competitive.

Universal Gleam was a bit disappointing yesterday despite the market support so we’ll be hoping for an improver display from the Daily Steamer on Sunday afternoon. RUBY YEATS doesn’t stand out on recent form figures but she is far from out of this and is handicapped to go close. She was in the process of running a big race before unseating latest and is worth chancing to go close here. Tara Bridge is favourite and the main danger.

Longshot Steamer Double

We’ve combined both the Longshot and Steamer to make an Each Way Double on Sunday. It pays 35/1 and looks worth covering (each way).
