Kempton 1.30 Sammy Bill (6/4)
Unbeaten chaser who demolished rivals on his first try over fences at Kempton and followed up with plenty to spare at Aintree last time; scope to do better still and one to keep firmly on side despite the 11lb rise; hat-trick beckons.
There’s a good chance SAMMY BILL will make it 3-3 over fences here for Oliver Sherwood and Leighton Aspell. He has really impressed me on both starts to date over the larger obstacles and with further improvement on the cards he looks a solid bet to complete the hat-trick. The handicapper has had his say raising him 11lb but it is understandable given he is unexposed. Sao should do better in this discipline at some point and looks the main danger to the selection.

Wetherby 2.50 Big Bad Bear (9/4)
Bumper winner who has looked on the upgrade over hurdles since returning with a promising effort at Aintree; won his last two and opening mark looks workable so a leading player here with the promise of more to come.
We head to Wetherby for our NB on Saturday and the improving BIG BAD BEAR looks the one to be on here. He ran a cracker on return behind two smart horses in Imperial Alcazar and Coconut Splash and duly improved on that to open his account over hurdles over two miles here in November. He then completed a fairly straightforward task to follow up at Carlisle and has strong claims now sent handicapping off a mark of 130. The step back up in trip will suit and he has potential to do better still.
