Justified good support to make a winning debut in a bumper at Limerick in January; shaped with credit in defeat behind some smart types at Naas last time and should have a bright future over hurdles; this looks a very winnable contest.
Given how strong the field was it was a bit of surprise to see VINNIE IS BUSY try and make all at Naas last time. He lost little in defeat that day and should make a decent hurdler. The form has worked out well since with the winner Farouk D’Alene unbeaten in three starts over timber. This is by no means an overly strong contest so it will be really disappointing if the selection doesn’t prove good enough. All About Joe is the main danger having ran well when second at Thurles last time.

Downpatrick 4.10 On The Sod (7/4)
Won all 3 starts in points putting in his best run to date winning by 4 lengths in an Irish point to point last time; not a lot to go on here but looks the most likely winner if translating that form under Rules for the first time.
Complete Sizing should go well with Jamie Codd up but it’s hard to get away from ON THE SOD. He is unbeaten in Irish point to points and if transferring this ability under Rules should prove too good. Obviously it’s hard to be overly confident in races like this but it’s that sort of day with limited racing so I’ve taken a chance. Heydour is another to note but I think it’s between the front pair in the market. Danjaman should give the selection a toe into the race but I think it may pay to be prominent.
