High-class sort who proved ability remains intact when third in Boyne Hurdle back from a 12-month layoff; ran well on handicap debut in Coral Cup at Cheltenham 2 weeks ago; should win with a clear round of jumping.
The card at Clonmel is far from inspiring today so we’ve opted for a short price for today’s NAP in BACHASSON. He should prove too good for these and showed he’s still in good form running a cracker in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham 2 weeks ago. Back over fences now he should prove the answer. Death Duty travelled better than most for a long way at Cheltenham but failed to find off the bridle. Something physical looks to be stopping him so I couldn’t have him. Discordantly might be value to finish second.

Clonmel 4.30 The Trigger (3/1)
Ran well when third to Oscar Ceremony at Musselburgh last month and backed that up going down just a head at Downpatrick on Sunday; if this doesn’t come too soon he looks a good bet to go close again.
I’m not completely convinced by Robin Deuz Pois so there is value in taking her on here. THE TRIGGER ran a cracker when going down narrowly on Sunday and if this doesn’t come too soon he looks a big player to potentially go one better. He was well backed the last day so it will be interesting to see if the money comes for him again before the off. Krisquin is a reserve but would be a danger if he got in. Others to note include West Is Best and at a big price Misty Adage could run into a place.
