Best bets in Australia in the early hours of Monday morning
Nothing like waking up to a winner and that’s exactly what happened this morning as the Daily Double landed at 7/1! Just the two meetings to see us into a new week but hopefully we can follow up. 16 races covered in total.

Race 6 Mornington 7.00 Court Deep (6/4)
Given he was hampered and carried wide he did really well to win at Stawell on his penultimate start and open his account; probably improved again when third at Sale and form looks solid in context of this race; more to come and hard to beat from a good draw.
With further improvement to come COURT DEEP should be tough to beat here. He likes to race up with the speed and was only beaten narrowly last time. He has a good draw here and should make it two wins from his last three. Big Darryl is also likely to race prominently and looks the biggest danger to the selection as he won nicely at Benalla and wasn’t disgraced last time. He does have a wide draw though and will do well to get across from there. Endow is also one to note in terms of running a place.

NB – Second best selection of the day
Race 1 Mornington 4.15 Beachgoer (6/4)
Promising debut when third at Ballarat attracting notable support just before the off; didn’t seem to travel all that great last time and still managed to finish third so with improvement to come and this track more suitable should go very close here.
This looks a good opportunity for BEACHGOER to open his account. He has been well backed on both starts so must be showing something to his connections. With fitness firmly on side now he is sure to take a lot of beating here. He looks to have the most potential in the race and it will be disappointing if he’s beaten. Club Legend has more experience on side but will need to show more if he is to overhaul the favourite here. The betting probably has it right though with him being the second fav.
