Race 8 Kilmore 7.30 Cupid’s Bow (11/8)
Progressive looking filly who was last seen winning well at Werribee despite being hampered at the start; well punted that day and expect the money to come for her again here; off for four months but will be ready to go and can improve again.
This looks a good starting point for the likeable CUPID’S BOW and I’m expecting her to pick up where she left off in January. She is a well put together sort who should continue to improve as she gains experience. She opened her account in good style last time and back in trip should prove the answer here. Honorellay is the closest in the betting and he is fitter now so should figure. At an each way price Hawksmoor might be worth a saver as I can see him running well and hitting the frame.

Race 6 Pakenham 10.30 Phoenix Global (11/8)
Back to winning ways at Ballarat in February, showing good early dash making all the running; excuses at Caulfield next start and quickly put that right winning over 1200m here earlier this month; more to come and good chance he’ll follow up.
Hopefully Billy Egan can get PHOENIX GLOBAL on the speed here. I think he’s at his best when forcing the pace and the extra yardage doesn’t look an issue. He is the most likely winner here for me and a confident bet to make it three wins from his last four starts. Mrs O’Malley ran well when second at Echuca last time and should be finishing strongly so rates a danger. Fly For Yulong is also respected at a price as he has some solid form in the book and could outrun his price-tag.
