THE US NAP LANDED AGAIN LAST NIGHT SO WE’RE ON A HAT-TRICK THIS EVENING!
Race 9 Tampa Bay Downs 9.32 Recoded (1/1)
Improving filly who deserves to get her head in front after a couple of promising efforts in defeat lately; forced to challenge five-wide last time but made up good late ground flashing home for third; this looks a good opportunity for her to shed the maiden-tag.
Given this is the easiest race RECODED would have contested she is likely to prove tough to beat here under Samy Camacho. She has impressed the last twice and if she runs up to that level (and likely will improve on it) then she should be too good for them. I expect her to get settled early before picking rivals off one by one. She really hit the line strong the last day and should be within striking distance tonight. Lily Chaser is probably the main threat on what we know but is held by the favourite on past form.

Race 7 Gulfstream 8.48 Shamrocket (11/8)
Promising colt who ran his best race to date when a closing third over a mile here earlier this month, only beaten a length or so; sure to improve on that and looks a leading player in this field to go two better and get off the mark.
Irad Ortiz is back in town and SHAMROCKET looks one of his strongest rides on the card. This colt has steadily got the hang of things and he ran a big race when narrowly beaten into third here last time. The slight extra distance can help and with further progress on the cards should open his account. Venezuelan Hug lacks the experience of the selection but has also shown promise and looks a live danger with Luis Saez up. Mystery Bank is also not out of it but I’m confident the favourite can prove too strong.
