THE US NAP LANDED AGAIN LAST NIGHT SO WE’RE NOW CHASING AN ELEVEN-TIMER STATESIDE! NO PRESSURE!
Race 9 Tampa Bay Downs 9.43 Vaunt (13/8)
Promising mare who made a winning debut over a mile here last year, lengthening well in the straight; two decent efforts this term probably needing it on return before pulling too hard latest; step back in trip a big plus and the one to beat if handling dirt.
Guess what? The NAP landed again last night as Gamine got the verdict in a tight finish in the end. That was our TENTH in a row but we’re not done yet, looking for our eleventh tonight! We tipped VAUNT the other night but she was first reserve and there were no non runners so she didn’t get in. Hopefully she gets compensation tonight! If she handles dirt she wins this for me. She looks the most talented horse in the field and the drop back to 6f under positive tactics could prove the catalyst for further gains.

Race 12 Gulfstream 11.29 Bourbon In May (6/4)
Likeable colt who showed a good attitude to open his account at Aqueduct in November; thrashed them next start here and held his form well since; this looks much easier than last time and he should be finishing best under Irad Ortiz.
We head to Gulfstream for our NB on Sunday night and BOURBON IN MAY is likely to prove a warm order in the lucky last under the red-hot Irad Ortiz. He is riding with supreme confidence right now and this colt will be ridden quietly before hopefully coming with a winning run. This is a significant drop in grade and he looks to have obvious claims of getting his head back in front. Keep Quiet has some decent form in the book and rates as one of the main dangers but it’s pretty open past the favourite.
