NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE AUSSIE NAP WON 5 TIMES LAST WEEK! WE HEAD TO PAKENHAM ON THURSDAY MORNING!

Race 2 Pakenham 8.30 Quesadilla (1/1)

Promising filly who was well backed on debut before finishing second over track and trip in March; bit below form when filling the same position at Kyneton last time but had to race wide without cover; danger to all back here and likely to have improved again.

We head to Pakenham on Thursday morning as we look to fire in another NAP winner Down Under and QUESADILLA looks the one to be on in Race 2. She caught the eye on debut and while she ran a bit below par last time she should go one better returned here. She has that crucial experience on side and is expected to have too much for newcomer All Price. The latter didn’t show much in a trial over 800m at Cranbourne so will need to do much better if she’s to put any resistance up against the favourite.

NB – Second best selection of the day

THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT CAIRNS IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THURSDAY MORNING!

Race 8 Cairns 7.42 Bet On Love (11/10)

Bumped after the start and lost rider here last time; won nicely over further here before that though and things didn’t really go to plan third on next start; drops in grade and is well drawn so should prove hard to beat.

It’s not all been smooth sailing for BET ON LOVE but she looks to have an obvious chance of returning to winning ways here and looks the one to beat in a very winnable race. Forgotten Feeling wasn’t beaten far last time so also has likeable claims in a weak race but the favourite is much preferred. It’s hard to see anything else landing a blow but Sunny Sailor would be a danger if getting back to his best. He hasn’t been seen since January though so may well need the run.
