Race 9 Ipswich 6.20 Pinnacle Star (6/4)
Won four of his eight starts and did well to score on final start last season, coming from way back to get up close home; form has worked out well since producing three winners; won a trial so fitness shouldn’t be an issue; progressive and should win on return.
I’m looking forward to seeing PINNACLE STAR in Race 9 at Ipswich. He looked a horse to follow last season and finished off a profitable campaign with another victory at Sunshine Coast. He is returning from 6 months off the track but won a trial so should be ready to go. He has a tricky draw but he’ll look to swoop late so if he handles that he should go in again. Definitely one to keep on side! Tycoon Street is also returning and should have more to come so is respected. Countess De Galvez should also be thereabouts.

Race 4 Bendigo 5.05 Hot In Paris (6/4)
Chased home Ms Catherine over C&D first up in November and that horse has won a Group 3 since so the form looks very solid; ran well at Moonee Valley and then had excuses at Geelong; hard to beat here with further improvement to come.
This looks to revolve around HOT IN PARIS for Leon and Troy Corstens and Dwayne Dunn. She has been knocking on the door and back at this venue she rates strongly as a win contender. She is just a 3yo so should have further improvement to come. That second to Ms Catherine looks a standout piece of form and I’m happy to row in with her. Mosscon has a fitness edge so looks more likely to put up the main challenge to the selection. At a bigger price Spiteful might be value to hit the frame.
