Race 1 Armidale 3.30 Noble Cause (11/8)
Brushed aside useful sort Oakfield Tickets to win by 3 lengths at Taree last month; probably did too much early when third over the same trip next start; this looks easier and expected to dominate; should prove a tough nut to crack.
We head to Armidale for our best bet in the early hours of Tuesday morning and NOBLE CAUSE is fancied to come out on top in the opener. He is a useful individual who has only actually run four times. He is unexposed in comparison to main market rival Les Amoureux and I expect him to improve past him. He has ability and with a soft lead on the cards should prove tough to peg back. Hopefully Mikayla Weir will judge the fractions right and we get the Aussie NAP back to winning ways!

Race 5 Hamilton 6.00 Rome (13/8)
Ran on strongly from off the pace back from four months off the track to open his account over slightly shorter here earlier this month; prevailed by a head with a good horse in second; good draw again here and should make it back-to-back wins.
Our second best bet on Tuesday runs in Race 5 at Hamilton. Billy Egan sticks with ROME here and he looks the most likely winner following that likeable success last time. He should kick on now and from a good draw what’s not to like? Pristine Image is vying for favouritism and is a useful type but this is his first run since November so he is entitled to need it against a race-fit rival. Still a danger but I’m confident the selection will have too much fresh off the back of that win. Countess Queen looks nailed on for a place in behind.
