Race 7 Lone Star 10.45 Lasting Legacy (10/11)
Useful sort who has won three of his last five; brought the hat-trick up in good style at Monmouth in September last year; highly tried the last twice in Grade 3 events; this much easier and should take the beating on first start for new trainer.
The US NAP is back in great form so hopefully we can make it seven winners from our last eight at Lone Star tonight. LASTING LEGACY is hard to oppose in Race 7 on the card. He had looked thoroughly progressive and acquitted himself well in a pair of Grade 3’s the last twice. Returned to easier company on return he should prove too strong. Welder bolted up at Will Rogers last time so looks the biggest danger. He is bumping into a horse much better than the company he faced on that occasion though so will need more.

Race 6 Lone Star 10.15 Caddo Fox (1/1)
Promising type who has shaped with plenty of ability in three runs to date; not so good on turf last time but switched to this venue and back on dirt he should improve again and will be tough to beat if he does; hard to oppose.
This looks a good opportunity for CADDO FOX to open his account. He knocked hard on the door finishing second on his first two starts before running a bit flat on turf last time. Back on dirt he has plenty going for him and this doesn’t look to have too much strength in depth. He remains open to improvement and should have too many gears off the front. On form Texas Crossbow looks the biggest threat to the selection having only been denied a neck last time. Dashiell makes his debut and might need the experience.
