Race 3 Tampa Bay Downs 6.27 Tonedaddy (2/1)
Useful type at this level and was very much back to form winning a stronger race than this at Presque Isle Downs albeit on a synthetic surface when last seen; fitness taken on trust on return but should win if anywhere near his best.
We head to Tampa for our best bet Stateside on Wednesday night and TONEDADDY is expected to make a winning return on his first start for Kathleen Guciardo. He is better than this level so might not even need to be fully fit to take it. That win at Presque Isle Downs was quite impressive and he’ll be hard to beat if running close to that form. Pollard Star is expected to put the pace to the race and I wouldn’t want him to get too much rope. The selection likes to pass horses and close late, should be finishing best.

Race 8 Lone Star 11.15 Hallmark Girl (5/2)
Promising filly who left her debut run miles behind when making a winning return at Sam Houston last time; they all tried to close on her late but she showed a great attitude to pull out more; can improve again and one to keep on side.
Looking forward to seeing HALLMARK GIRL out again at Lone Star tonight. She really impressed me the last day finding more and more once straightened up to repel all challengers. That was a brave effort given it was just her second start ever and further improvement is a near certainty. I think she’ll push for the lead again here and if she gets it I don’t think they’ll run her down. Milli Starr is probably the main danger. She will look to close late but the selection might be home and hosed by then.
