Promising type who can continue to progress with experience; knocked on the door again at Doomben last time and if building on that will go very close here; good draw so should secure an ideal position; most likely winner.
Just the three meetings for us Down Under on Friday morning and PLAYTHEFIELD stands out in the opener at Gold Coast. He has run some good races in his eight starts and went close again last time. He is still improving so if building on that will be a major force here. It’s a race that lacks any real quality so he should get rewarded for his consistency. Epplause is the danger. He has only had five starts and while he wasn’t great last time he ran well here before that so should figure.

Race 5 Pakenham 5.30 Mr Monaco (6/4)
Likeable sort who stayed on strongly to win at Pakenham last time, 5 lengths clear at the line; won two of his last four now and well placed to strike again; likes to race up near the pace so will push forward early and can get first run where it counts.
We head to Pakenham on Friday morning for our second best bet Down Under and MR MONACO is fancied to come out on top in Race 5. He has five wins to his name now after scoring at Pakenham last time and looks to have plenty in his favour as he bids to follow up. Diamondsandbubbles lacks that wow factor but did win at Pakenham on her penultimate start so can run well and give our selection something to think about. Unsettling is also considered but will likely find a couple too good.
