Lightly raced sort who showed much improved form to finish second at Chelmsford on return; just got going too late in the day and looks sure to improve on that again; obvious chance of going one better.
This looks a great chance for WRATH OF HECTOR to open his account. He is the clear form pick following that promising second to Mr Kodi at Chelmsford and if he steps forward on that again he should win. His chance is reflected in his price but on a tricky day I’m happy to put him forward as my best bet. Laurentia ran well behind Lacan at Kempton and would be thereabouts if repeating that. Valley Belle also has the form to run into a place but for win purposes I can’t see past the favourite.

Bath 4.15 Motamayiz (6/4)
Smart type who built on an encouraging return to win well over C&D last month, well on top at the finish; looks on the upgrade now so fancied to go in again turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty; hard to oppose.
Expecting MOTAMAYIZ to prove too strong here. He finished two lengths behind Dartington on return and built on that to win impressively over track and trip last time. He has a 6lb penalty in a better race but is effectively 3lb well-in so has a massive chance of following up. Dartington is the danger. He beat the selection last time so should give him a race but I think he’ll have his work cut out trying to confirm that now Roger Varian’s 3yo looks to have got the hang of things. Hard to recommend much else.
