Race 8 Gulfstream 8.41 Bahamian Beat (4/5)

Improving colt who ran his best race to date trying turf for the first time when finishing second over C&D in May, edged out by just a neck on the line; that the best piece of form on offer and can put his experience to good use.

This looks a great opportunity for BAHAMIAN BEAT to open his account for Ralph Nicks. He ran a very promising race when only run down in the final few strides over track and trip last time and with an easy lead on the cards here he could be away and gone this time. He has more experience than most and that form looks the strongest in the race so with further improvement to come is impossibly to oppose. The fact Diligent, a newcomer, is second fav in the race says a lot about the others who have already had a run.

Race 2 Louisiana Downs 9.33 Swiftown Miss (11/10)

Progressive mare who brought up the hat-trick in good style over 6f here on return last month, pouring it on late; back down to 5f now but certainly doesn’t lack early speed and looks hard to oppose; four-timer surely beckons?

Hard to look past the progressive SWIFTOWN MISS here for Karl Broberg. She has won her last three and doesn’t look done yet. She broke okay the last day but got shuffled back so had to do it the hard way coming through strongly to get on top late. Prior to that she raced fairly prominently so it will be interesting to see what tactics she applies. We know she’s versatile which can see her go a long way at this level. Tiz The Time looks the one to put up the most resistance. She is sure to try and get the lead so will need pegging back.
