Race 8 Cranbourne 7.30 Grinzinger Allee (10/11)
Ran a big race in stronger company at Flemington last time and steps up to this distance for the first time so good reason to expect further improvement; obvious chance of adding a third career win.
We head to Cranbourne on Wednesday morning for the Aussie NAP and GRINZINGER ALLEE should be hard to beat in Race 8. He is improving and shapes as though the step up to this trip is what he needs now. Ran a cracker in a better race at Flemington last time so with further gains likely should go one better. Cramped odds but that’s with good reason and is hard to oppose. Magazine will probably chase him home. Won well at Wangaratta and is also going the right way.

Race 4 Eagle Farm 5.18 Amiche (1/1)
Promising filly who is chasing a hat-trick of wins after doing the business at Sunshine Coast and then Ipswich last month; up in grade but more to come and one to keep firmly on the right side of; proven over this trip too.
The lightly raced AMICHE can win again. The penny seems to have dropped now and while she is facing a tougher calibre of opposition she looks to have the gears to cope with it so is fancied to land the hat-trick under Michael Hellyer. Astro Boy Toy won his trial so should tighten up physically. Whether he is fit enough to trouble the favourite is another matter but he is going the right way so is definitely respected. Hard to see anything else proving good enough to trouble the top two and the fav should win!
