Race 9 Gulfstream 9.13 Loriloupies (4/5)

Improving filly who has looked very good in three starts to date winning two of them; dotted up by over 6 lengths to make the breakthrough over the extended 6f here in February and followed up by 9 lengths over track and trip latest; bags of potential.

The US NAP was back to winning ways last night and we’ll be looking to land back-to-back winners this evening as we head to Gulfstream. LORILOUPIES catches the eye in Race 9 for Saffie Joseph. This represents a step up in grade but she is unexposed and could have plenty more to come. In an ideal world she likes to track the pace before coming through so hopefully it pans out favourably. She looks the most likely winner and that’s reflected in her odds. Should complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Thisismytime.

Race 2 Thistledown 6.20 Show Sliding Home (5/4)

Showed improved form lately finishing second over this trip at Mahoning Valley on final start last season and picking up where he left off filling the same position over track and trip last month; fitter now so good chance of going one better.

The likeable SHOW SLIDING HOME should be rewarded for his consistency here. He has been knocking on the door and looks the one to beat in this field. It lacks strength in depth so if he runs up to the level that saw him finish second last time he will go very close. Should tighten up physically for that too so obvious chance. Bringyourownsand is probably the main danger as he has some good form in the book and will improve for his comeback run last month. Hard to recommend much else in a very winnable race.
