The Lake George Stakes (group 3) looks a good race, mainly because the classy SWEET MELANIA is running again. She won at this level on reappearance. She will be better for that run and considering she has never been out of the placing she could be very good this year. She was a close 3rd in the Breeders Cup Fillies Juvenile last year and that form appears way clear of anything in this field.

The one that could follow her home at a price is Witez who has put together some good times at a lower level.

Tonight’s Next Best drops down in class to a distance that seem his optimum and has every chance. STAGE LEFT won over tonights distance on reappeared quite convincingly. Going through his form he seems at his best at tonights trip and short and will make a bold bid from the front again.

The race doesn’t look overly strong, Majestic West could have more scope for improvement and rates the main danger in the field.
