Best Australian Horse Racing bets in Australia on Monday morning

The NAP won again on Sunday so we are now bidding for a FIVE-TIMER and head to Tamworth early on Monday morning. Also racing from Pakenham and Grafton.

Alongside our best bets we have race-by-race bets below the main bets if you want to know what we fancy on the rest of the cards (just scroll right down to the bottom).

NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE NAP RUNS AT TAMWORTH ON MONDAY MORNING AS WE BID FOR A FIVE-TIMER!

Race 5 Tamworth 7.05 Lucky Elixir (13/8)

Talented sort who comes here chasing a hat-trick after impressing at Gilgandra and Scone last time; low gate again and obvious claims if turning up in the same form with Greg Ryan in the saddle.

Hard to get away from the old boy LUCKY ELIXIR at Tamworth on Monday morning. The Aussie NAP is chasing FIVE WINS IN A ROW now so hopefully this 10yo can justify favouritism. He was particularly impressive at Gilgandra before justifying favouritism at Scone last time. He has found a new lease on life and is extremely hard to oppose again. Tom’s Knight is the obvious danger as he won at Wellington last month and has held his form well since going down just a length to the selection last time. Plenty of dead wood in here so hard to see anything else springing an upset.

NB – Second best selection of the day

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST RUNS AT PAKENHAM EARLY ON MONDAY MORNING!

Race 9 Pakenham 7.30 Gorokan Express (2/1)

Progressive gelding who made it three in a row at Wangaratta a week ago; did well to come through with a strong challenge given he overrated in the early stages; wide draw but has the class to overcome that.

Looking forward to seeing GOROKAN EXPRESS out again and we’ll be hoping he can make it four wins in a row for Ben Brisbourne. I’m actually quite surprised he isn’t favourite here but I guess the wide draw has given some juice to his price. He is on a real roll and I fancy him to overcome that under Lewis German. Groot is the obvious danger as he is unexposed and caught the eye last time. Open to improvement so should give the selection a race. Steel Choice may be a bit of value to hit the frame as his win on penultimate start was pretty good.
