THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT GOLDEN GATE ON SUNDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Golden Gate 11.55 Bold Mistress (5/4)

Half-sister to Major Truth who won 15 times between 4f and 6f; ran a hugely promising race on debut when second here over 6f last month; step back in trip looks the right move and obvious chance of going one better now.

Experience should count for plenty here and BOLD MISTRESS is taken to go one better for Ed Moger and David Lopez. This filly ran a big race on debut and with further gains likely she should make the breakthrough. She just looked to be learning on the job on debut so should know a lot more now. The only other horse with a run under her belt in the field is La Reine’s Legacy. She was beaten 10 lengths on debut so has something to find with the favourite. Mischief Free was expensive at the sales and has reportedly been working like a useful enough type so has to be feared. Sweet Kaela may be the most intriguing debutant though so keep an eye on her. Hard to look past the selection however you break it down.

Race 7 Gulfstream 8.06 Frankly My Dear (11/8)

Half-sister to Rogue Patriot who won five times at 5f; placed in both starts to date beaten just a head by Sophisticurl when second on her latest outing over 5f here in July; open to further improvement and this looks a good chance to go one better.

Hard to get away from FRANKLY MY DEAR at Gulfstream tonight. She has shaped with an abundance of promise in two starts to date and with further gains likely she should go one better. She only just missed last time, going down a head at the line and there doesn’t look anything wrong with her attitude. She likes to push forward so will look to dominate again. Shang’s Sister showed promise on debut and can step forward from that to pose a challenge. Pretzel is held by the selection on form but can do better still and will be suited by the return to dirt here. May go well at a big price so potentially worth an each way saver. Hard to recommend much else in here.
