THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT BELMONT PARK ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 9 Belmont Park 10.14 Capital Structure (6/4)

Good looking filly who got settled early before making smooth headway around the outside and kicking for home; far from the finished article so should be plenty of improvement to come; one to keep firmly on side.

I’m looking forward to seeing CAPITAL STRUCTURE out again following her impressive debut at Monmouth Park. She traveled notably well and took it up racing enthusiastically before asserting. She will know more now so can improve again and while this does look more competitive she could be a nice prospect in the making so is one to keep very safe. Crystalle was highly tried last year but did look pretty useful herself so is likely to make a race of it with the favourite. The front pair look a cut above anything else and the selection is fancied to make it 2-2. Logic N Reason will find this easier than her latest assignment but she’ll need more to trouble the front pair.

Race 7 Gulfstream 8.22 Hoponthebusgus (13/8)

Talented mare who has won two of her last three; pitched into tougher company last time and was by no means disgraced in fourth; back down in grade and looks to have an obvious chance of getting back to winning ways.

Hard to look past the consistent HOPONTHEBUSGUS here. She landed back-to-back wins back from a break before running well in tougher company last time. Back down into calmer waters she looks poised to make it three wins from her last four. There is plenty of speed on so I’m expecting them to be contesting the speed early. Avenida Manana is a danger but she won’t have it her own way up top and that could ultimately cost her in the end. Whereas the selection will just look to get settled early before picking them off in the home straight. Feature Creature is quite a big price given she probably has more to offer and might be worth a saver to run into a place.
