The Aussie NAP was back to winning ways overnight so we head into a new week with confidence riding high. Racing from Moe, Tamworth, Leeton and Belmont on Monday.

Race 3 Belmont 7.12 Notorious One (5/6)
Smart type who made the perfect starting winning convincingly despite racing greenly throughout; should know a lot more now and taken to make it 2-2 before going onto better things in time.
He’s A Gunslinger is probably the pace angle here but I’ll be surprised if there is anything finishing better than NOTORIOUS ONE under Jordan Turner. He impressed winning on debut and should be more streetwise now. With that experience under his belt he can improve again and looks to have obvious claims of remaining unbeaten. This looks a good opportunity so it will be disappointing if he can’t get the job done. Bobcat Johnnie has been knocking on the door so looks pretty solid in terms of a place. Sea War is probably the one overpriced in here as he had excuses last time and is better than that. However you break it down though the favourite should have all angles covered.

Race 2 Leeton 5.35 Sunstone (6/5)
Likeable mare who should be rewarded for her consistency here; placed four times of the trot and put in a very good effort at Nowra last time; reproduction of that in this easier company would see her go very close.
Sticking with the likeable SUNSTONE here. She has a win and 7 placed efforts to her name from just 11 starts so doesn’t know how to run a bad race. She looks poised to strike off the back of that encouraging effort last time and that’s very much reflected in her price. Taliano is the main market rival and he is plenty talented but the selection is relatively unexposed in comparison so is a confident selection to win the argument. The market has it spot on though and I’ll be surprised if anything else proves good enough in here. Zarafah is probably the other one to consider as she is better than what she showed at Moruya last time and can bounce back. Still has something to find with the favourite.
