THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT THISTLEDOWN TONIGHT AS WE LOOK TO GET IT BACK FIRING!

Race 3 Thistledown 6.50 Kettle King (6/5)

Given an educational ride on debut closing in nicely from off the pace to finish second; should know a lot more now and with usual improvement should be going close here; looks a great opportunity.

The one to beat is clearly KETTLE KING here for Silvano Gonzalez following that promising introduction when second here last month. He looked to be learning on the job and with improvement a near certainty he should have little trouble going one better tonight. Tide Rising is the closest in the betting but he failed to pick up in the straight last time and I’d have my reservations for now. Who Can Win was behind the selection on debut so has hit work cutout to reverse that form. Home Run Power has been well held in two runs to date but should be capable of better at some point. However you break it down it’s hard to get away from the favourite.

Race 4 Delaware Park 7.45 Stylish Ninetynine (11/8)

Improving filly who put in her best run to date when second over track and trip last month, digging in for pressure despite having to challenge wide; might not need to improve on that to win this.

In such a weak race it’s hard to get away from STYLISH NINETYNINE following that encouraging second over track and trip last time. She is going the right way now and won’t need to build on that much to take this weak maiden claimer out. She made up a lot of ground from off the pace so it was a likeable effort. Ruby’s Rush was stuffed on turf last time but had previously shaped well when third over 5f on a sloppy track here in August. She needs to get back on the up but looks the biggest danger if doing so. Wee Arch was been running to a consistent level so also comes into the reckoning but it’s hard to oppose the favourite on recent form.
