Leicester 12.50 Aldaary (5/6)
Promising type by Territories who made an impressive start winning on debut at Yarmouth by nearly four lengths; clocked a good time and expected to make it 2-2 here; could be a very nice horse and one to keep firmly on side.
The NAP is going great guns right now as we landed our fifth winner in a row yesterday. We’re looking to land a SIX-TIMER on Monday and ALDAARY looks the most likely winner of the novice stakes at Leicester. He is very promising judging by his debut win and with further improvement on the cards he is expected to take a lot of beating. I know it’s another short price at 5/6 but I can see him going off nearer 4/6 so I’m happy to put him forward. Dark Illusion is a useful yardstick but I think he’s probably better at 5f and he looks to be bumping into a smart prospect in the favourite here. Hard to see anything else proving good enough in here with Special Mayson needing to find plenty to get involved.

Newcastle 7.00 Daphne May (7/4)
Useful filly by Mayson who caught the eye on debut but needed a bit more experience before opening her account at Kempton last month; solid run in defeat when second last time and could still have more to come; big chance.
We head to Newcastle on Monday night for our second best bet of the day and DAPHNE MAY is fancied to justify favouritism for Adam West and Rab Havlin. This filly looks pretty useful and she was by no means disgraced under a penalty last time. She can improve again and if she does she will be extremely hard to beat here. I think 7/4 looks generous as I expected the market to warm to her much more than it has initially anyway. Kartvelian is open to improvement and looks to be off a lenient mark so will probably be the one to make a race of it with the favourite. Of the rest you always have to respect a Mark Johnston runner so Party Rebel should run her race.
