The Aussie NAP landed again overnight so we are now chasing a hat-trick! We head to Flemington tonight. Also racing from Gawler, Hawkesbury and Ipswich. The Overnight Double pays 9/2!

Race 9 Flemington 6.50 Written Beauty (11/10)

Smart filly who has won three of her four starts and comes here chasing a four-timer; done nothing but improved since finishing second on debut and looks to have tons of potential; one to keep firmly on side.

Another winning NAP this time Down Under so we head to Flemington on Thursday chasing a hat-trick. WRITTEN BEAUTY should have too much for rivals in the lucky last. She is a filly firmly on the upgrade and with the promise of more to come she looks a good bet to come out on top here. It’s not a bad race and there are one or two sorts in here that could also take a big step forward but she just has that class edge and should account for these comfortably before hopefully going on to better things. Minhaaj is one of those with a future as she has been running in good races so her form stacks up. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t hit the frame. Chianti is the other one. Solid enough for a place.

Race 6 Ipswich 6.45 Astralis (11/8)

Consistent mare who has a win and four places to her name from nine attempts; began awkwardly back from 5 months off the track last time, running on well at the finish; should step forward physically from that and a big player here.

We head to Ipswich for our second best bet overnight and ASTRALIS looks well placed to get back to winning ways. I thought she ran well on return and looks sure to improve now especially if getting a cleaner break. Perfect Impression is also promising and has been installed as favourite. She has similar form but I’m surprised she is shorter than the selection. I guess because she’s coming in with a win but plenty went wrong for our pick last time so that run is best forgiven. The pair should battle it out and I’m happy to go with the bigger price of the two. Run On is probably best of the rest but he needs to find more on what we’ve seen so far to win anyway.
