Cheltenham 12.30 JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle (Registered As The Prestbury Juvenile Hurdle) (Grade 2) 2m1/2f

A race that Paul Nicholls has a great record in to start the day at Cheltenham and he looks to have an obvious chance with the favourite HELL RED. Nicholls loves buying from France and does well with these sorts of recruits. The selection impressed on his debut over here after a second in France running out a 12 length winner at Chepstow last time. He made all that day and hardly broke a sweat. If in the same form he should take the step up to this level in his stride.

The main danger has to be Duffle Coat for Gordon Elliot who took a listed event last time and will have more to come but I feel the selection has the greater potential going forward.

Cheltenham 1.05 South West Syndicate Handicap Chase (Conditional Jockeys’ And Amateur Riders’ Race) 3m1f

Our Daily Value Tip runs in this race. We fired in an 11/4 winner on Thursday and this tip was profitable to follow in October (already won 3 times this month at good prices). It’s completely FREE to access and is available everyday on the oddschecker app

Cheltenham 1.40 From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase (Grade 2) 2m

The usual small field for this race with 6 set to line-up and FUSIL RAFFLES looks the standout after winning his first two chases fairly easily. This is a tougher race but he won those two races by a combined 13 lengths and had plenty left in the tank. If he is in the same form he will take all the beating before stepping up again to bigger races. Definitely looks one to keep on side!

Despite being beaten by the selection at Uttoxeter Gumball is still the main danger after improving for his seasonal debut to win over this course and distance last time. Quel Destin is fit from the Flat but this looks a tough enough ask on chase debut.

Cheltenham 2.15 Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase (Grade 3) 2m4f

A race I always love and we don’t have a bad record in it with our last winner coming in 2018 where Baron Alco toughed it out at a decent price. We also had Taquin Du Seuil back in 2016 so have a 50% strike rate in the race over the last 4 years. Happy Diva won it last year and she is back to defend her crown. She hasn’t won since and is 8lb higher so it’s a big ask. Cheltenham Festival hero SIMPLY THE BETTS has to be my main play in the race. Harry Whittington’s Arcadio gelding has done nothing but improve and really impressed me the last twice, beating Imperial Aura and then Happy Diva. He can keep progressing and this looks a good starting point.

Given how competitive it is I’ve also included AL DANCER as he impressed me beating Master Tommytucker at Newton Abbot and with that rival having followed up since it looks even better on reflection. A mark of 154 demands more but make no mistake he’ll still be rolling when others have cried enough and is very solid at 9/1. Mister Fisher brings untapped potential to the table and the same can be applied to Saint Sonnet who is also interesting in opposition.

Cheltenham 2.50 Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle (Listed Race) 3m

This looks like a good handicap hurdle with a mix of improvers and hardy handicappers. 5 year olds have taken 2 of the last 3 runnings of this and with Tea Clipper now a non runner you’d think Mrs Milner would have a great chance. She is a bit short in the market though and I think I prefer GOLAN FORTUNE instead. He won this off 2lb lower last year and arrives in good form again having finished a good fourth at Aintree last weekend. The first-time visor could perk him up and I think he’s near certain to run a big race.

On the Blind Side looks to be on a good mark but may need the run after 267 days off. Could still get involved. Debestyman ran well when second to Captain Tom Cat last time and is also one of the dangers.

Lingfield 3.05 Betway Churchill Stakes (Listed Race) 1m2f

Crossed Baton won this last year for Gosden and he looks to have a leading chance again with DUBAI WARRIOR who improved to win the Winter Derby over C&D in February. He wasn’t as good back on turf at Sandown but has been kept fresh since and is without doubt the one to beat here. The only issue with him is his price as he will go off very short.

Sinjaari is very solid in opposition and should chance him home. He won the John Smith’s Cup at York in July and while he disappointed in the Cambridgeshire he is still the danger on AW debut. Palavecino is a smart front-runner so they wouldn’t want to give him too much rope but he’ll need to find more on what we’ve seen lately.

Lingfield 3.40 Betway Golden Rose Stakes (Listed Race) 6f

Last years winner JUDICIAL returns to defend his crown and despite finishing 6 lengths off the winner in fourth last time he has a good chance of going back-to-back in this race. That Listed race last time was stacked full of good horses which would be suited to much better races which the form has shown. This doesn’t look as deep and will go well after being rested for this.

Good Effort is the main danger after winning 4 in-a-row and I expect him to fight it out with the selection. It’s 8/1 bar the rest and nothing much catches the eye I have to admit.

Cheltenham 3.55 Karndean Designflooring Mares’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Listed Race) 2m1/2f

These national hunt flat races are always hard to call but this is a very competitive event with all but 2 of the field having won so far. At the prices ISHKHARA LADY stands out as she won on her comeback run after 22 months off to make it 2/2 in this sphere. She looked very good on her debut in 2018 and feel she might be well regarded even as a 6 year old. The form of her comeback win has worked out well and she should go close.

Ucanaver for the Honeyball yard could be the main danger with a classy win at Fontwell but is half the price of the selection at the time of writing and the selection looks better value.
