Best Australian Horse Racing bets in Australia on Thursday morning
10/1 NOTEBOOK DOUBLE LANDED OVERNIGHT! The NAP & NB rattled the crossbar both finishing second but our trackers were in top form. Racing on Thursday from Corowa, Warrnambool, Ipswich, Kensington and Pinjarra.
Alongside our best bets we have race-by-race bets below the main bets if you want to know what we fancy on the rest of the cards (just scroll right down to the bottom).
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT COROWA ON THURSDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Corowa 4.45 Charm Wing (11/8)
Smart mare who has placed in all three runs to date; contesting much stronger races than this and while she hasn’t been seen for a while her trial run suggests she still retains all that ability; tough to oppose.
I have no doubt CHARM WING has a class-edge on these rivals and if she produces anywhere near her best she will have too much for these. She was last seen going down just two lengths at Cranbourne behind So You Beauty and that form gives her an obvious chance in this field. She obviously remains open to improvement after just 3 starts and should win this before going back up in grade. Dreams Afar won a barrier trial at Wagga and could be primed to run well on debut. She should give the favourite a race. Esprit’s Reward has raced 9 times without a win but should be suited by this test. On what we’ve seen she needs to find more from somewhere to win this though. Solid for a place.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT WARRNAMBOOL ON THURSDAY!
Race 6 Warrnambool 5.00 Harpuna (6/4)
Improving type who raced wide and without cover when only fourth at Morphettville; this looks considerably easier and on all known form she looks to have a leading chance to get back to winning ways.
This looks a great opportunity for the likeable HARPUNA to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He has some solid form in the book and knows how to win which should count for plenty. He hasn’t had a great deal of luck in recent starts so if things fall right here he will be tough to stop. The only negative is his price as he’s being well backed at the time of writing. Greetings Ned was last seen down the field at Bendigo in May but has been trialling well leading into this so could run well. He has won 3 times and looks most likely to give the favourite a race. Route Eighty Eight is exposed but it wouldn’t surprise me if she ran well too so shouldn’t be too far away in terms of a place.
Autralian Daily Double
The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Corowa and Warrnambool in the early hours of Thursday morning.
