Race 2 Randwick 2.50 Pinnacle Prince (10/11)
Exciting colt who couldn’t really have been any more impressive running on strongly from last to win well here last month; should keep improving with experience and looks set to make it 3 wins from just 4 starts.
I’ve got to be with the progressive PINNACLE PRINCE here for Jason Collett and Brett Cavanough. This colt really impressed last time and with more to come he looks a horse to keep firmly on the right side of today and going forward. Toro Toro will be fitter now and looks the main danger to the selection. He probably lacks that star quality but some of his form stacks up so he is certainly respected. Moyassar has won his last two and is a near 8/1 shot so that shows you the strength of this race and in particular how good the favourite could be. The latter has blinkers on for the first time and will need to find more from somewhere to complete the hat-trick.

Race 7 Flemington 7.00 Riding The Wave (13/8)
Useful yardstick who has an impressive 6 wins from 16 starts; showed a good attitude to prevail by a nose here on New Year’s Day; proven at this trip and every chance of going in again given what we’ve seen lately.
I doubt RIDING THE WAVE will be far away here from a low draw. He is a very useful animal and he is looking to make it 7 wins from 17 starts. He has already won over this trip and at this track so ticks plenty of boxes. He only prevailed by a nose last time but that was a good race so the form stacks up. If he repeats that then he should have too much for these in my book. Blazejowski needs to show his best form but if he does he is one of the dangers for sure. Vassilator is pretty exposed in comparison to the top 2 but will take advantage if either fail to fire for whatever reason. Brave Song knocked on the door last time and also has to be considered if managing to build on that.
