THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT EAGLE FARM ON THURSDAY!
Race 3 Eagle Farm 4.55 Scottish Mist (5/4)
Progressive mare who already has 3 wins on the board and shaped with promise beaten just over a length back from 3 months off the track at Doomben last time; sure to improve and looks the one to beat in this field.
The Aussie NAP runs over at Eagle Farm on Thursday morning and SCOTTISH MIST is fancied to go in again. She should tighten up physically from that reappearance run and this looks easier to me. There isn’t much pace on here so I don’t expect her to get as far back as she did last time and she’s hard to get away from. Zoucara has ability but I think she needs them to go a good clip to be seen at her best and that doesn’t look likely here so tactics could go against her. Hallowed Girl was denied just a nose when last seen. Might need this on return but certainly not ruled out. Abb Roy brings winning form to the table but this looks tougher so she also needs to find more.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT PINJARRA PARK!
Race 5 Pinjarra Park 7.40 Vane Tempest (11/8)
Good looking filly who caught the eye when denied a length on debut and duly improved on that to make a winning return over track and trip earlier this month; can keep improving and looks good value to turn over the favourite.
In The Boat made a winning start and he looks a big danger but I’m siding with VANE TEMPEST here. This filly won nicely last time and I think she has the greater potential of the pair. She is a bigger price at the time of writing but it wouldn’t surprise me if they flip-flopped come post time. The latter was notably strong in the betting before winning last time so I expect her supporters to come again. It’s 10/1 bar those mentioned but Crash Hat Lady was only denied a length at this level doing better than her odds suggested and she might be up to playing that part again with third place definitely up for grabs here. It will be interesting to see how this pans out early as there looks to be a lot of pace on.
