THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT GULFSTREAM ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 9 Gulfstream 9.42 Payntdembluesaway (1/1)

Talented mare who has won five in a row now and 6 of her last 7; showed a good attitude again under pressure despite challenging wide last time; hard to oppose in current form and should prove too good again.

This looks easier if anything so I’m expecting winning machine PAYNTDEMBLUESAWAY to go in again. She has that will to win and that can go a long way at this level. She has won 6 of her last 7 and is eyeing up a six-timer tonight. This is easier than that last contest he won so he looks the one they all have to beat. Kiffle is a likeable mare and she was back to her best last time. She has now won 2 of her last 3 and she looks the main danger to the selection. I think the pair will battle this one out but Swirling Candy shouldn’t be entirely overlooked either as she also brings winning form to the table. She will need to improve again to get involved at the business end here though. Fav will be hard to stop!

Race 6 Aqueduct 8.20 Montauk Daddy (5/4)

Improving colt who found plenty to forge clear over 6f here at the start of the month; scope to keep progressing now and this looks a good opportunity for him to follow up; chance of getting a soft lead here too enhances claims.

We head to Aqueduct for our second best bet of the night Stateside and the progressive MONTAUK DADDY is taken to follow up. This colt won convincingly over 6f here last time on a muddy track and with the step up to the extended 6f likely to suit he can boss these rivals off the front end again. He is the only pace angle in the race so I expect him to push forward and dominate. Dr. Devera’s Way bumped into a useful rival last time and has to be respected off the back of that run but this does look tougher. Money In The Bank may emerge as a bigger danger as he landed back-to-back wins before finishing second last time. Like the selection he should have more to come on dirt.
