Race 5 Warrnambool 4.25 Cop A Clip (11/10)

Promising filly who improved to make the breakthrough winning by a length at Moe last month despite beginning awkwardly; wouldn’t want much rain but hard to oppose otherwise with the promise of more to come.

Crossbar rattled last night as Office Jim finished second at Pakenham. He is actually due to run at Moonee Valley overnight but in a better race. He has a squeak at 9/1! We head to Warrnambool on Friday morning as we look to get back on track and COP A CLIP should be hard to beat in Race 5 on the card. He is improving nicely now and did it well last time. He can get better as he gains experience and as long as it doesn’t get too wet he should have the required gears to win this. Duecourse has 5 wins from 36 starts and shouldn’t be far away. Exposed in comparison to the selection though. Silkstream may be the bigger danger as like the selection she is open to further improvement.

Race 8 Townsville 7.45 Roadhouse (2/1)

Good looking sort who ran a cracker back from five months off when beaten just a nose at Mackay last month; sure to tighten up physically and open to further improvement after just 3 starts so big shout here.

The NB was well backed and landed the odds overnight so hopefully we can follow up. We head to Townsville and ROADHOUSE looks the one to beat in the lucky last. He is a promising sort who gets the draw on the rail and he looks the one to beat in this field. Mystery ‘N’ Magic was second at Cairns but was well held on that occasion and needs more to trouble the selection. Yin And Yang goes well over this trip but hasn’t been seen for nearly a year so is entitled to need this run. Could still run well though. Varsity has a good draw and might run well at a price. Just 1 win from 26 starts doesn’t exactly bode well though? Hemsted will push forward and might take a bit of catching at a price.
