Race 1 Sunshine Coast 2.50 Stocked And Loaded (4/5)

Still improving judging by his nose second at Eagle Farm last month having been slowly away; fitter now and has the best recent form on offer so should prove hard to stop as he looks to make the breakthrough.

The Aussie NAP won again overnight so we are now looking to make it 6 IN A ROW overnight at Sunshine Coast. STOCKED AND LOADED is hard to get away from in the opener for Stuart Kendrick and Sheriden Tomlinson. He is yet to make the breakthrough after 6 starts but hasn’t had a great deal of luck and couldn’t have gone any closer last time. He is poised to go one better and is likely to be a short price to do so. Local Gossip has more experience than the selection but could only finish fourth last time. She needs to better that run to make a race of it with the favourite. Hogan’s Dare had been knocking on the door prior to disappointing the last twice. He has a bit to prove now.

Race 6 Albany 8.55 Fangio (1/1)

Progressive mare who landed the hat-trick impressively here last month, winning by nearly 5 lengths at the line; 2 from 3 over this trip and 4 from 8 at this track so ticks plenty of boxes; hard to oppose.

The thriving FANGIO looks the one to beat at Albany overnight. She is clearly at the top of her game right now and she should get a nice toe into the race from Tradensia who will put good pace to the race. The latter has finished second the last twice so is certainly entitled to plenty of respect but she is likely to find one too good again with a record of just 4 wins from 14 starts. Starorio is 6 from 24 and has won 4 times at this track so shouldn’t be overlooked. She was beaten four lengths by Big Bada Boom here last time and will be trying to finish late. She may well end up being the main danger to the favourite. Nothing really appeals at the bigger prices but Fuel The Friar the best of them.
