Race 7 Golden Gate Fields 12.05 Slam Dunk Sermon (11/8)

Useful type who comes here chasing a hat-trick after showing a good attitude to prevail over track and trip last month; won 3 of his last 4 now and improving all the time; hard to oppose especially if pushing forward.

We’re in great form Stateside right now and we’re looking to land another NAP winner on Sunday night as we head to Golden Gate Fields for our best bet. The hat-trick seeking SLAM DUNK SERMON should be hard to stop in Race 7 on the card. This horse has a terrific record with 6 wins from just 11 starts. He has won 3 of his last 4 and is still improving. He showed a great attitude last time and has both Manila Mischief and Facts Matter held on that form. Silent Movies has won 3 of his last 4 and looks the main danger to the selection. He had Stone Groove behind so has that horse held. However you break this down it looks hard to go past the favourite.

Race 7 Gulfstream 8.42 I Kickn (13/8)

Improving sort who really impressed winning head in chest in November last year; not quite kicked on since but did show promise in defeat again last time and eased in grade now so big chance of getting his head back in front.

This might not take a great deal of winning so I’m more than happy to side with I KICKN here. He almost certainly has more to come after just 6 starts and bits and pieces of his form would see him come out much the best here. He should push forward and is likely to be hard to peg back. Deo Forte is more exposed than the selection but hasn’t been running badly and his second in October last year was a good effort. That sort of form would see him involved. Rack Gin hasn’t been seen for 164 days but can fire fresh so would be a danger if bouncing back to his best form. I still think the selection has the greater potential and should grind them into submission up the straight.
