Race 7 Gosford 6.50 Flexible (1/1)

Progressive filly who has won her last two and looks to be getting better with experience; just the four starts to date so should be lots more to come yet; ran on strongly to justify favouritism again last time; keep on side.

The Aussie NAP was back in the winners enclosure overnight so hopefully we can follow up on Wednesday morning. We head to Gosford and FLEXIBLE looks poised to complete the hat-trick for James Cummings and Rachel King. This filly is getting better with every run and looks well placed to go in again before going on to better things in time. She’ll need to step forward again to take this but there is every reason to think she will. Champagne Vega is the obvious danger to the selection. He is also chasing a hat-trick and has 5 wins from 27 starts. He is exposed in comparison though so if the favourite improves she should have too much for him.

Race 1 Sandown 4.40 Bellinger (1/1)

Continues to make headway and impressed again when second at Pakenham on return despite breaking awkwardly, doing well to get as close as he did; slowly away last time when filling the same position; more to come now.

This looks a good opportunity for the improving BELLINGER to open his account. He’s done nothing wrong in four starts to date knocking on the door the last twice. He will only need to step forward a bit to make the breakthrough you’d imagine. In terms of recent form he has by far the strongest claims of these. Buble Boy is second fav but he took a backwards step last time and he is going to need to bounce back to have any sort of a say here especially against this unexposed favourite. It is still early days for him too though so he should do better at some point so it’s understandable to see him where he is in the market. And She Was will be fitter now but she also needs to find more.
