Race 7 Tampa Bay Downs 8.17 Successful Legacy (6/4)

Promising filly who has won both starts on turf and really impressed last time, staying on strongly at the line to win easily; scope to keep improving as she looks to make it 3 wins from 5; keep safe.

I’ve got to be with SUCCESSFUL LEGACY here as she looks to make it a perfect 3-3 on turf. She is clearly improving judging by that latest performance and if she takes another step forward despite this being slightly better company she should win again. Ball Lightning made the breakthrough on dirt last time but hasn’t been seen since and is entitled to need this on return switching back to turf. Could still be a danger though so isn’t passed over easily. Cool O Toole also brings winning form to the table and she should run well having belatedly made the breakthrough. She Dazzle was beaten into third last time but her win prior to that was quite impressive so she might be overpriced for a place.

Race 8 Mahoning Valley 9.02 Run Bubba Run (13/8)

Likeable type who looked good winning over track and trip in December; tough ask up in grade next time and much better the last twice going very close last time; if he builds on that he should prove hard to beat here.

Lots to like about the chances of RUN BUBBA RUN at Mahoning Valley on Wednesday night. This horse is still improving and he has bounced back since highly tried in December. He should take another step forward and if he does he’ll go one better and find himself in the winners enclosure. He has been mixing it with the right horses so his form stacks up in the context of this race. He has had the likes of Reinvestedinterest and Big Al’s Express in behind in recent starts so they look held. You’re My Boy Blue could only finish sixth behind the selection in second last time so needs to do much better but he might just be a bit overpriced as I think he can improve.
