THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS NOW CHASING A 5-TIMER!
Navan 4.20 Santiago (5/6)
Smart colt who achieved a high level of form last season winning the Queen’s Vase before taking the Irish Derby; last seen beaten narrowly in the St Leger; this looks a good starting point for a race the yard do very well in.
The NAP is flying right now as Law Of One hacked up at Doncaster yesterday to give us our fourth winner in a row (and bring home the Daily Double). We head to Ireland this afternoon where SANTIAGO is all the rage to win the Vintage Crop Stakes for Aidan O’Brien. He has targeted some very good horses at this race down the years and he looks to have another smart colt on his hands in the shape of the selection. He should win this before going onto better things again this season. Willie Mullins is represented by Stratum who shouldn’t be underestimated. Won nicely at Gowran on return and looks the main danger. Baron Samedi was a big improver last year but the ground is fast enough.

Wetherby 2.10 Noon Star (5/4)
Promising filly by Galileo who created a lasting impression winning impressively at Nottingham when last seen in October; plenty of scope so sure to improve and could have a very bright future; one to keep firmly on side.
Obviously quite a few unknowns in here with several fillies making their debuts but I’ll be surprised if there’s anything better than NOON STAR. She looked a very exciting filly winning as she liked at Nottingham in October and if he has filled her frame she could take another big step forward here up to 1m2f for the first time. She is potentially smart so I’m very keen to keep her on side today and going forward. Loving Dream also opened her account at the second time of asking winning well at Wolverhampton. She will also appreciate the extra yardage but just looks to be bumping into one for me. Sherbet Lemon made a winning start and can also do better but might come on again for the experience.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Wetherby and Navan on Sunday as we look to follow up yesterday’s winner.
