Race 4 Doomben 4.43 Tamilaide (11/8)

Promising type who made the perfect start winning on debut at Murwillumbah; good second at Eagle Farm next start before returning from a break with a convincing win at Gold Coast; good third last time given a lot to do; should win.

This step up in trip should prove ideal for TAMILAIDE and he can get himself back in the winners enclosure here. He made a winning return at Gold Coast before being given too much to do last time. He was taken back from a wide draw and just couldn’t find a way through eventually running on strongly for a never nearer third. This extra yardage here can see him pick them all up in the closing stages. Always On Show continues to run to a decent level and shouldn’t be too far away. She has just 1 win from 12 starts though and with 8 placed attempts from those that might be her best bet again. Of the rest Eelloh is likely to be on the pace and could go well for a long way before hopefully being reeled in.

Race 4 Belmont 8.00 Excerpt (15/8)

Likeable type who made a winning return at York last month, running on strongly from off the pace; potential to rate better yet so this looks a good opportunity for him to follow up; trip looks ideal with a win and 3 placed efforts from 5 attempts.

Hard to look past EXCERPT here and I think he’ll be finishing best of all to claim the prize. That was a big finish to win at York on return last time and given he’ll be fitter now with the promise of more to come he can take care of this field. Count The Sessions has 2 wins from 9 starts and is a useful type. Looks to be the main danger as the betting is suggesting. Powerful is only 1 from 6 but was a good second last time so has to be respected. Granrandell is a good looking sort who will look to get on the lead and they wouldn’t want to give him too much rope as some of his form stacks up. Sea War promised to do better but has been a bit disappointing lately.
