Race 7 Lone Star Park 11.23 Hunka Burning Love (4/5)

Smart type who impressed on penultimate start showing good early speed and then finding plenty in the straight; highly tried up to graded company last time and not disgraced; this easier so comfortably the one to beat.

The US NAP is red-hot right now as we eye up a hat-trick on Monday night. The likeable HUNKA BURNING LOVE can get back in the winners enclosure at Lone Star tonight. He was only pegged back in the last couple of furlongs in Grade 3 company over track and trip last time. He was impressive on penultimate start and if he bounces back tonight in much calmer waters he should see these off. He is at his best when he’s dictating so the start will be crucial but if he gets away and on the speed there is only one winner. Popular Kid won by 7 lengths last time but this is tougher so he’ll need to be at his best again to beat the favourite. Kenai Bob is best of the rest as he’s very consistent.

Race 4 Indiana Grand 8.58 Naughty Alfred (11/8)

Progressive sort who showed a great attitude to bring up the hat-trick over track and trip last month; won 4 of his last 5 now so couldn’t really be in better form; sure to run his race again and has leading credentials.

The NB is also on a hat-trick and we head to Indiana on Monday night where NAUGHTY ALFRED can win again. This 4yo is firmly on the upgrade judging by recent performances and I know he only prevailed by a head last time but I think he was value for more given how hard he went early. He is 4 from his last 5 and I can’t see how he isn’t going to go close again. Tale Of Fame has finished behind the selection the last twice so may well end up filling that position again but I have a feeling White Wolf could run well at a price. He won over C&D on penultimate start and then was a good second last time so his form is consistent and he’s good value for a place so certainly one to watch.
