THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SARATOGA TONIGHT!

Race 7 Saratoga 9.29 Air Show (5/4)

Promising colt who improved to win impressively at Indiana Grand in May and gone close twice since just bumping into one in a better race than this last time; open to further improvement and can get firmly back on track here.

The US NAP was backed off the boards again last night before delivering and it could be a similar scenario tonight. We head to Saratoga and AIR SHOW is likely to be a warm order. He is a big strong colt who shed the maiden-tag impressively at Indiana Grand 3 starts back and has run really well twice since in much better races than this. He has a good opportunity to get back on track here and I think he can go on to better things with time and experience on side. Papa Smooth is also unexposed and could be the danger. He did well to win last time showing a good attitude and he is quite a big price so might be worth a small each way saver. Dee Bo hacked up last time and also has to be feared.

Race 6 Woodbine 12.24 Spite Store (6/4)

Well built sort who has been a big eye-catcher the last twice only grabbed late on reappearance and then bumping into one last time; back slightly in trip which looks ideal and this easier so obvious chance now.

We head over to Woodbine for our second best bet Stateside and SPITE STORE can open his account. He has finished runner-up on 3 of his 4 starts but there doesn’t look anything wrong with his attitude and I think he looks sure to go close here back half a furlong in trip. He should get a good toe in from Red Mavrik and is likely to be in the box seat to strike. Tragically Quewick has had just the 3 starts and has shown ability. He was a place behind the selection on penultimate start so does have a bit to find but also looks a danger. View From Egbert showed promise on debut on turf beaten 2 lengths and also has to enter calculations if transferring that form to a synthetic surface now.
