THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT SARATOGA ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Saratoga 8.55 No Time Alone (11/10)

Promising filly who left debut run behind to go close on first try on turf last month; won’t need to improve much on that to go one better here and she looks one to keep on side as she could go on to much better things in time.

Experience should count for plenty here and NO TIME ALONE looks a good bet to go one better at Saratoga on Thursday night. She still looked a bit raw when finishing second last time but I thought she showed a good attitude under pressure and given she is likely to be more streetwise now she has a great chance to open her account. Disengage has already had 3 runs but hasn’t tried turf yet. If he improves for it he could be the danger but I’m not convinced. Open Til Midnight and Butter Lou are interesting newcomers but they are going to need to be plenty forward to trouble the market principals and especially the favourite and I just can’t see it.

Race 6 Belterra Park 8.05 Lover Boy (5/4)

Useful sort who made a winning return over track and trip in June and no disgraced in tougher company than this the last twice; remains open to further improvement and should be able to dictate here so leading claims.

This looks a really good opportunity for LOVER BOY to get back to winning ways. He already has a couple of career wins to his name and his last two efforts in better races than this suggest he is up to striking again. He will go forward under aggressive tactics and should take plenty of pegging back in the straight. Winging Ways finished sixth behind the selection in second when last seen and has enough ground to make up on that form. Raf won at this level last time but has struggled up in grade in the past and has enough to find. Greenspan might be the danger as he has been running consistently well and bumped into the right horses last time so definitely has a squeak.
