THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT ROCKHAMPTON ON THURSDAY!
Race 3 Rockhampton 4.40 Ahooshu (10/11)
Smart type who has a progressive look to his form now after impressing winning on return at Mackay last month; bossed the opposition on that occasion and with scope to improve again he should take a lot of beating.
Early speed will see AHOOSHU lead these and he might not see another rival. That was impressive at Mackay last time and with further improvement on the cards he is expected to have too many gears for these. Boudica’s Gift is talented but she has already proved a bit frustrating and I can see her running well without being good enough. Blue Jacket opened his account at just the second attempt and certainly wasn’t disgraced when second last time so on recent form he is also a player. Likes to come from off the pace though and that is likely to count against him here. Given it is 25/1 bar those mentioned it’s hard to see anything else getting involved at the business end.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT PINJARRA PARK OVERNIGHT!
Race 2 Pinjarra Park 5.43 My Fury (10/11)
Promising filly who shaped as though she would improve for the run when third at Belmont on return; only getting better with experience and looks one to keep on side especially against a field like this.
This race revolves around MY FURY who was solid at Group 3 level and then was only beaten narrowly at Belmont on return off a trial win. Should be fitter now and draws well so looks hard to oppose. Elite Fighter got closer at Belmont and can do better so looks one of the main dangers to the favourite. Chang Man ran a promising race on debut when second here so also enters calculations but might just need more experience to trouble the selection. My Conviction makes his debut and is interesting but again you’d think he’ll be better for the run and this is a tough enough starting point. Talkaboutyou has a future but needs more on what we’ve seen. The rest just don’t look good enough.
