THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT WOODBINE ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 5 Woodbine 11.53 Anitgone (4/5)

Useful filly who has been back to her best recently winning easily over 7f sweeping through from just off the pace and then following up stepping up to the extended mile last time, doing it easily; more to come back on turf now.

The US NAP ran a stinker last night sadly and that put an end to our huge winning run (made it to 10 in a row). Hopefully we can kick off a new sequence of winners tonight as we head to Woodbine. ANITGONE is likely to be a warm order but that’s deservedly so given her recent form. She remains open to further improvement back on turf and I think she’ll take all the beating here. First Spring and Matinee could take each other on up front and that would be an ideal scenario for the fav to just track through before pouncing where it counts. Piccadilly Beau looks the danger off the back of a good second last time. If he builds on that he should give the selection a race at least.

Race 6 Arlington 11.05 Katie M’lady (13/8)

Progressive filly who has won 3 of her last 4 and looked to be getting better with experience when winning at Stakes level over track and trip last time; this easier if anything and with more to come should win again.

The hat-trick seeking KATIE M’LADY looks hard to oppose at Arlington tonight. She is improving fast judging by that latest win and with scope to kick on again she can justify favouritism tonight. I only really see pace pressure from Dreamful so if she can conquer her early she could dictate these and if that happens it’s going to take a good filly to go past her I think. I think Serene is the danger as she won impressively on a synthetic surface here last month. That was a maiden so she’ll need much more here but is clearly a nice prospect going forward. Gastown has been running to a consistent level so also enters calculations. Sunny One can also run well but perhaps without being good enough.
