Race 7 Indiana Grand 10.31 Nobody Listens (4/5)

Bumped into a good horse in a much better race than this when second over a mile here at the start of the month; early speed to burn so good move dropping back in trip and comfortably looks the one they all have to beat.

The US NAP was back in the winners enclosure last night so hopefully we can put another winning sequence together now. We head to Indiana on Tuesday night for our best bet and NOBODY LISTENS looks primed to go close. He is fast so it is all the more encouraging he ran so well up in grade over a mile last time. Back down in trip he should take a lot of catching in these calmer waters. Bar Rich Kingdom I don’t see anything good enough to challenge him. The latter impressed on penultimate start but failed to follow up last time and will find it hard to peg back the selection. Danang is also worth a second look but he has largely competed at a lower grade than this so needs more as well.

Race 6 Louisiana Downs 10.55 Glenn’s Jumper (1/1)

Promising sort who blew rivals away on debut winning by over 10 lengths; failed to back that up next two times but impressive again on return from 424 days over track and trip; lengthy absence again but has that class edge on these.

I think it’s har to oppose GLENN’S JUMPER here despite the layoff. He is clearly the most talented horse in this line-up and given he is proven fresh I think he’ll make a winning return again. He hasn’t been the easiest to train obviously but he has potential to take some nice prizes down the line so I expect him to be a warm order come post time. Doolin has been shaping well recently and only went down three-quarters of a length last time so has to enter calculations. War Veteran certainly has the ability to figure but he himself is also back from a break so he might strip fitter for the run as well. Pre Heat is proven at a better level than this but hasn’t been running well lately.
