THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT PAKENHAM ON FRIDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Pakenham 6.00 Taramansour (1/1)
Smart type who has improved recently to go down narrowly after being hampered at Ballarat and then getting back to winning ways at the same venue last time; form stacks up; more to come so hard to oppose here.
This looks all about TARAMANSOUR here for Matt Cumani and Fred Kersley. This horse looks progressive now as his form with Bainbridge is extremely strong and then he won convincingly enough last time. This extra distance will suit and he is hard to get away from. Lunar Flare had been running well prior to blowing out at Caulfield last time. If she bounces back she would be the danger to the favourite but enough to prove right now. Valac is certainly respected on exposed form but he is coming up against a couple of improvers now so it’s hard to see him having enough to hold them off. The rest just don’t look good enough right now but Serenade The Stars will bounce back at some point.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT GOLD COAST ON FRIDAY!
Race 2 Gold Coast 4.27 Winneba (6/4)
Caught the eye running well on debut where she was only edged out late; improved to finish second again at Ipswich last time denied by a nice yardstick; improving all the time and looks well placed to make the breakthrough.
I think WINNEBA pushes forward and leads again and hopefully this time she makes all. She is a nice filly in the making and looks to have been found a great opportunity to shed the maiden-tag. She has speed to burn so should take plenty of catching if things go to plan. She gets the 3kg claim and hitting peak fitness it’s hard to find any faults. Redeeming Spirit makes her debut for a good barn and has to be feared especially if the market speaks favourably (not really at the time of writing). Princess Lunar and Miss Seattle are also respected but you’d think they’d both benefit from the outing. Whistling Loren was second of three at Ipswich last time but needs to find more to figure here.
